[Previous entry: "Gig Cancellation"] [Back to Home Page] [Next entry: "Photos from the Tribute coming soon."] 12/17/2004 Entry: "Richard "Woody" MacDonald Sagoo, 1971 - 2004" It is with great sadness and shock that I write this entry. My beloved brother, Richard, died in the early hours of last Saturday night from a cardiac arrest. He was being transported to the hospital in Wexford for treatment. The paramedics and doctors tried to revive him for 40 minutes, but were unsuccessful. His funeral on Monday last was attended by a huge number of family and friends, and I would like to express both mine, and our mother, Lorraine's, gratitude to all those who came to say goodbye. To all the family members, members of the fellowships, friends and fellow musicians, THANK YOU! Richards musical colleagues gave him an escort with guitars from the Church to the graveyard, and it was a great honour. All his family and friends are stunned at the loss of this great person, and we are still coming to terms with this tragedy. He will live on, however, through his music, and the wonderful memories we have of him. His love of life, and his deep caring and sensitivity will always be remembered. He was a deeply spiritual person, who cared a great deal about what was going on around him, and in the lives of his friends and family. His sense of humour was legendary, and woe betide the unlucky heckler who tried to butt in at a concert! We should all also remember the fact that we all now have a Guardian Angel who knows Tae-Kwon Do! I am going to keep this site going, and update it with information, news and stuff as I get it.
