02/16/2005 Entry: "Photos from the Tribute coming soon."

Hi everybody.

I am uploading the photos from the Tribute in the Macamore Inn. They'll be in the photo gallery soon.

... Time Passes ...

OK, the photo's are up :)

Many thanks go out to everyone who attended, the musicians who played (including Mick Sheridan, Eugene Doyle, Matthew McDonald, Liam Byrne, Rob Weldon, Luke Cosgrave, John Thompson, Brendan and Liam of The Last Laugh, John Dover, Ann Boyle, Cormac O'Toole, The Wild Turkeys and many more).

I would also like to extend a personal thanks to the people who organised the event, Jenny Fortune and Martin Devitt, aided by Mick Fortune. It means a great deal to me to know Richard had such wonderful, caring friends - I know how much you helped Richard when he was going through hard times, and I will always be grateful and honoured. Our mother, Lorraine, is also very grateful to you, both for organising this tribute, and for the care you took of Richard when he needed it - you will always be in our prayers.

Thanks also to Aileen Lambert and Mick Fortune for videoing the event. We will see what we can do about making the video available on the website - check back for more info.

Thanks are also due to everyone who donated for the raffle, to Ivar and Sheila Johnson of the Macamore Inn, and of course, to everybody who turned up on the evening to support the tribute. I know it was a fabulous evening, and a fitting tribute to my brother. A lot of money was raised on the night, and I really think that a memorial for Richard from his closest friends and musician colleagues is a fabulous idea. As I get more information about this, I will post it here.

I am sorry that neither I nor our mother Lorraine could attend on the evening, but it would definitely have been more than we could have coped with :*(. It has been a tremendous help to us to know how much Richard was loved as a human being, and respected as a musician.

Again, Love and Thanks to all who organised, performed and attended for Richard

Great photos of a fitting tribute to a cool and caring guy! Unfortunately I was out of the country and unable to make it, but you were in my thoughts and prayers as Richard always will be xx!
